Candidate Forum Volunteer Meeting Registration is requested to ensure that sufficient training materials are available. In carrying out the mission of encouraging informed and active participation in government, the League of Women Voters continues to be key sponsors of candidate forums. The public holds the League in high regard for our work, so it is important to follow best practices to ensure a fair and well executed forum. LWV_LC invites all members interested in helping us prepare for the upcoming candidate forums for the 2024 primary and general elections, please join us on Thursday, May 9 th starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Hamburg Township Library. If your new to this process or have helped preparing candidate forums in the past, we hope you can join us. Email Ellen Lafferty at president@lwvlivingstonco.org if interested. Tasks involved in sponsoring 2024 candidate forums include: organizing, communicating with candidates, soliciting community input, formatting questions, tech support, moderating, timing, recording, posting, distributing and publicizing. Forums must comply with LWV non-partisan policies.
