Your membership and support are investments in democracy.

Why should I join the LWV of Livingston County?

Through participation in League projects, you will contribute valuable service to the community

gain knowledge and experience through the study and discussion of timely and important topics

discover new interests, develop new skills and learn about crucial issues in your community

make professional contacts and develop lasting friendships as you meet others in the League who share your interests.

How much time does participation take?

It's up to you! Many members choose to support the League only with their annual dues. Your membership alone gives us the political influence needed to build a voice for citizens and a force for change. We cover a broad spectrum of issues and concerns; you may choose to become involved in one or more of them by actively participating in a group study, or listening to a panel of experts at a meeting or just reading about them in one of our publications.  Read more about our local activities.

What do I get?

You automatically become a member of LWV Michigan and LWV of the United States. You will receive their publications, via email,  along with the newsletter and event announcements from the Livingston County League of Women Voters.  You will have the knowledge that you are adding your voice to a powerful force of members from all 50 states, Washington DC, the Virgin Islands, and Hong Kong.

Membership dues support voter service activities including the national Vote411 system and, in Michigan, the production of nonpartisan Voter Guides, and Who's Who pamphlets to connect voters to their representatives.  As the most trusted source of non-partisan election information in the state, citizens have come to rely on the wealth of information the League's Voter Guides provide prior to every statewide election.  Besides on-line editions, we distribute - at no charge - print versions to all counties in the state.  Your support so we can continue to provide Voter Guides to Michigan voters, to work on other voter engagement projects and to combat voter suppression.

How do I join?  Two choices:

You may complete an  Online Membership Application which  includes  instruction for payment of dues via PayPal or mailed check.
